Growth Technology Clonex Cloning Gel

Are you tired with low striking rates and the bother of using out-of-date rooting products?

Clonex is the world's first and foremost propagation gel!

Our proprietary blend of indole butyric acid (IBA), antimicrobial agents, vitamins, and minerals is the ideal solution for rooted plant cuttings.

Clonex's active ingredient is IBA, a plant hormone that increases root initiation and growth.

Clonex is really simple to use. Simply dip 4 to 6 inch long stem cuttings from healthy, disease-free stock plants into the gel before placing them in a rooting medium.

Depending on the diameter of the cutting and the depth to which it is dipped, one litre of Clonex can treat thousands of cuttings.

Your cuttings will survive if you provide adequate post-cutting care, such as maintaining high humidity and providing plant food once roots have grown.

Clonex Advantages:

  • Increased striking rate due to the gel that holds the active substance against the plant tissue.
  • It is a lot safer since no one are not breathing in talc or hormones from using Clonex
  • The gel seals the incision and prevents air embolisms in the plant's vascular tissue, keeping the cutting from weakening

Using Clonex ;

  • This will depends on the diameter of the cutting and the depth to which the cutting is dipped, but the grower should expect several thousand cuttings per litre of Clonex
  • Stock plants (mother plants or even cuttings) should be disease free, nutritionally healthy, and not water-stressed
  • If flowering, remove flowers and buds
  • Stem cuttings are usually 4 to 6 inches long and should be taken from the current or previous year's growth
  • The terminal parts of the stem are best
  • Long shoots can give several cuttings
  • Keep cuttings cool and moist until they are stuck
  • If delayed, cuttings can be stored in the fridge in a plastic bag
  • Remove leaves from the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the stem
  • Cut large leaves in half
  • Pour Clonex into a separate container for dipping, do not pour unused Clonex back into the original container
  • Dip cuttings 1 cm up the stem at a 45-degree angle
  • Stick and maintain humidity

Post-cutting care:

  • Humidity should be maintained at a high level
  • Air changes should be done regularly
  • Moisture level in the medium needs to be maintained
  • Plant food should be supplied to the cuttings when roots first form
  • Light levels should be sufficient for photosynthesis

Rooting media:

  • Should have sufficient pore space to contain air
  • Should be free-draining, but still hold enough water for the cutting
  • Should be disease-free
  • Should contain all plant mineral nutrients essential for growth
