Description

Standard at Trotec, but by no means a given everywhere

The flagship model of our commercial dehumidifier standard series defines itself in every respect as a superlative in direct competition:

Up to 100 litres per day, which corresponds to more than 4.2 litres per hour, can be condensed by the TTK 655 S. This is made possible by an optimally coordinated interplay of a high-performance heat transfer and fan system, which can circulate and dehumidify air volumes of 925 m³/h.

The powerful 1.9 kW compressor guarantees high dehumidification capacity in large rooms even at low room temperatures below 10 °C – and the high-quality hot gas defrost system of the TTK 655 S ensures a much more efficient dehumidification performance compared to other defrost systems without time-interval-related defrost pauses during which no dehumidification takes place.

“King of Trock 'n' Roll” – this is where the action is…
Today new building drying, tomorrow water damage restoration – frequent location changes and use in harsh construction site environments are no problem with this condenser dryer:

The roll piston compressor technology of the TTK 655 S not only allows transport in practically any position but also a time-saving, immediate start-up of this dehumidifier directly after positioning.

Transport itself is also convincingly quick thanks to the ergonomic design in trolley version with handlebar and large wheels, even over rough terrain or steps. And indoors, the non-marking rubber wheels of the TTK 655 S leave no marks on parquet or other sensitive surfaces.

To protect against harmful dust or moisture deposits in the electronics, not only are the electrical components of this dehumidifier specially encapsulated, but all other components of the TTK 655 S are also safely protected and attractively housed in a practice-optimised German industrial design, which is protected as a registered design.

Hydrofluoroolefin (R-454C) as an environmentally friendly refrigerant in dehumidifiers

Every year, several million tonnes of environmentally harmful CO2 emissions (greenhouse gases) are released into the air through synthetic refrigerants. Therefore, the use of alternative refrigerants is one of our most important goals. By using hydrofluoroolefin (R-454C) as a refrigerant, this dehumidifier makes a valuable contribution to climate protection.

The natural refrigerant hydrofluoroolefin (R-454C) is an organic compound and belongs to the hydrocarbons. Unlike synthetic refrigerants, environmentally friendly hydrofluoroolefin (R-454C) has neither ozone depletion potential (ODP=0) nor a significant greenhouse effect (GWP=146).

Additional plus for the environment: Due to its excellent thermodynamic properties, hydrofluoroolefin (R-454C) is a particularly energy-efficient refrigerant and thus additionally reduces your energy costs.

Practical advantages of the TTK 655 S at a glance:

  • Practice-optimised German industrial design – protected registered design

Active value retention through integrated compressor heat protection with automatic shutdown

In drying applications with extremely high humidity and simultaneously high temperatures – for example, in water damage restoration – refrigerant dryers quickly enter their red performance zone. Here, the clear “35-degree rule” applies: drying water damage above 35 degrees reduces the dryer’s lifespan to under 35%!

However, this is not a question of component quality, but pure physics, which applies independently of the manufacturer to all refrigerant dryers on the market.

While most professional condenser dryers can still operate without problems up to 35 °C at moderate humidity around 70% relative humidity, very high humidity combined with high room temperature causes significantly more energy to be supplied to the moist room air, which must be additionally “processed” via the refrigerant.

As a result, the pressure of the refrigerant in the system rises immensely, leading to destructive stress on the compressor.

The dehumidifiers will initially continue to operate but clearly beyond their limit “deep in the dark red area”, which results in an extremely shortened remaining service life.

Nevertheless, there is no way around using condenser dryers for such drying tasks, as adsorption dehumidifiers consume significantly more energy at the same drying performance and are therefore not a sensible alternative, especially from an economic perspective.

That is why the commercial dehumidifiers of the TTK-S series feature integrated compressor heat protection for active value retention of your devices:

Sensors continuously monitor the heat load of the compressor. If the temperature is within the defined working range, the integrated heat protection indicator pulses in a long sequence, indicating optimal operation of the dehumidifier.

As soon as the temperature exceeds the critical limit of 35 °C, the automatic system switches off the compressor to protect it, while the fan continues to operate, and automatically reactivates the compressor as soon as the 35° limit is undershot again.

This protection not only significantly extends the lifespan of the dehumidifiers but also prevents thermal damage to materials in the room and the building fabric during their use.

Safety information and warning notices are included in the device manual
